Islamabad: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has announced an extension for the submission of sales tax and federal excise returns for February 2025, pushing the deadline from March 18 to March 27. The decision, formalized through a notification, invokes Section 74 of the Sales Tax Act, 1990, and Section 43 of the Federal Excise Act, 2005.
FBR authorities emphasized that the move aims to ease the burden on taxpayers facing difficulties in meeting the original deadline, ensuring they can comply without incurring penalties. This extension reflects the board’s commitment to supporting timely and hassle-free tax filings.
