Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir celebrated Eidul Fitr with soldiers stationed in Wana, South Waziristan, and Dera Ismail Khan, sharing prayers and festive moments along the border, according to a statement from the militaryβs media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). The visit underscored the army chiefβs appreciation for the troopsβ steadfast commitment to safeguarding Pakistan.
During the visit, General Munir offered Eid prayers alongside the officers and soldiers, seeking blessings for the nationβs stability and prosperity. He lauded the troops for their relentless dedication, describing their service as a source of national pride.
The army chief also praised the resilience of Khyber Pakhtunkhwaβs residents, alongside the armed forces and law enforcement agencies, in combating terrorism. βThe people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have shown immense courage in the fight against terrorism, and our soldiersβ resolve strengthens this effort,β General Munir stated, as quoted by ISPR.
