A government school teacher in Mansehra district has been arrested by local police on charges of secretly filming female students and using the illicit videos to blackmail them, according to a report by Express News. The disturbing case surfaced after the family of one victim received an explicit video on their mobile phone, prompting them to alert authorities.
Police officials revealed that the accused had been covertly recording inappropriate videos of female students and exploiting the footage to coerce them into compliance. The suspect allegedly threatened to distribute the videos to the victims’ families or share them online if they resisted.
The investigation began when the brother of one victim received an obscene clip via Facebook Messenger. “We were horrified when we opened the video and saw it was of my sister,” the complainant stated in a report filed at the Lassan Nawab police station. After verifying the video’s authenticity with their daughter, the family immediately approached the police, who registered a case and launched a probe.
During questioning, the victim disclosed that the teacher had been targeting female students for at least two years. “He forced me and several of my classmates to make these videos, threatening to ruin our lives by sending them to our families or posting them on social media,” she told investigators.
Mansehra District Police Officer (DPO) Shafiullah Gandapur confirmed the arrest and assured the public that the case is being taken seriously. “We have formed a special investigation committee to thoroughly examine the matter and ensure justice is served,” he said. Authorities are working to identify additional victims and determine the full extent of the teacher’s actions.
The arrest has sparked outrage in the community, with calls for stricter oversight of educators and enhanced protections for students in schools across the region.
