RAWALPINDI, April 29, 2025 — Pakistan’s military has accused India of orchestrating a sophisticated terror network within its borders, presenting what it claims is undeniable proof of Indian involvement in attacks targeting civilians and security forces. In a press briefing, Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, head of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), outlined a series of incidents allegedly masterminded by Indian army officers.
Explosive Allegations
Chaudhry alleged that Indian military personnel, including a junior commissioned officer named Subedar Sukhwinder, Major Sandeep Verma, and others, are directly involved in funding and training terrorists in Pakistan. He claimed these operatives supply improvised explosive devices (IEDs), drones, and cash to carry out attacks designed to destabilize Pakistan and tarnish its international image.
“India is running a deliberate campaign to fuel terrorism in Pakistan,” Chaudhry stated, adding that the evidence could be verified by independent agencies. He accused India of failing to substantiate its own claims against Pakistan, particularly regarding a recent attack in Pahalgam, while Pakistan’s evidence, he said, was “irrefutable.”
Key Incidents and Arrests
The ISPR chief detailed the arrest of a Pakistani citizen on April 25 near Jhelum, allegedly trained by Indian handlers. Authorities reportedly recovered an IED, two mobile phones, and Rs70,000 from the suspect. Further searches at the suspect’s residence uncovered an Indian-manufactured drone and Rs1 million in cash. Forensic analysis, Chaudhry claimed, confirmed the materials’ origins.
According to the military, the suspect was directed by Subedar Sukhwinder, who allegedly instructed attacks across Pakistan, from Balochistan to Lahore. In one incident on November 30, 2024, an IED planted on a military vehicle in Jalalpur Jattan killed four personnel. The suspect, identified as Abdul Majeed, was allegedly paid Rs656,000 for the attack.
Chaudhry also highlighted a March 18, 2025, incident where Sukhwinder provided coordinates for an IED near Kotli. The device was discovered by schoolchildren, averting a potential tragedy. He accused Indian media of falsely reporting similar incidents in Jammu and Kashmir to deflect attention from India’s actions.
Call for Global Action
The military spokesperson urged the international community to hold India accountable for its alleged role in sponsoring cross-border terrorism. “These are not isolated incidents but part of a broader strategy to destabilize Pakistan,” Chaudhry said, pointing to detailed instructional videos allegedly sent by Indian handlers on manufacturing explosives.
Pakistan’s accusations come amid heightened tensions with India, with both nations trading barbs over security issues. The ISPR chief dismissed India’s claims about Pakistan’s involvement in regional unrest as baseless, emphasizing that Pakistan’s evidence was open to scrutiny.
As the allegations ripple through diplomatic channels, the international community faces growing pressure to address the escalating rhetoric between the two nuclear-armed neighbors.
