Speaking to troops and officers, the President highlighted the nation’s unyielding spirit, crediting the armed forces with protecting Pakistan’s sovereignty through their decisive response to external threats.
The President’s visit comes in the aftermath of a series of confrontations that began on April 22, following a tragic attack in Pahalgam that claimed 26 lives. Tensions escalated rapidly as Pakistan faced unwarranted accusations, followed by aggressive measures, including missile strikes on May 7 targeting civilian areas in Punjab and Azad Jammu and Kashmir. The strikes caused significant loss of life and property, including the destruction of a mosque.
In response, Pakistan’s military demonstrated remarkable precision and resolve. Operation Bunyanum Marsoos, a strategic counteroffensive, successfully neutralized key threats, showcasing the armed forces’ combat readiness and tactical expertise.
