The HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) has marked a groundbreaking moment with the unveiling of its 10th edition trophy, Luminara, amidst the shimmering waves of Karachi’s coastal waters.

In a breathtaking showcase, Colombian cliff diving legend Orlando Duque, aided by the Pakistan Navy, plunged into the Arabian Sea’s depths to unearth the Luminara trophy. The awe-inspiring moment was immortalized in a video shared by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), showing Duque presenting the gleaming prize to PSL CEO Salman Naseer and former captain Sarfaraz Ahmed, among others, on Karachi’s shoreline.
Forged from a single sheet of pure silver, Luminara tips the scales at 10 kilograms and sparkles with 22,850 radiant zircon stones. Its meticulously crafted design mirrors the intensity, dynamism, and fervor that have come to define the HBL PSL.
Derived from the Latin terms luminare (torch) and lumens (light), the name Luminara reflects the league’s illuminating journey and its steadfast pursuit of cricketing greatness over the past ten years.
The unveiling took place in the vast expanse of the Arabian Sea, where a professional diver retrieved a treasure chest cradling the trophy. This stunning presentation underscores the league’s evolution, resilience, and relentless drive for innovation. Attended by HBL and PCB dignitaries, franchise delegates, and cricketers, the ceremony heightened anticipation for HBL PSL X.
PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi stated, “Revealing Luminara at sea showcases our unwavering commitment to excellence and originality. As we commemorate a decade of HBL PSL, this trophy stands as a beacon of our proud legacy and bright future.”

The 10th edition of HBL PSL is set to unfold across four cities—Karachi, Lahore, Multan, and Rawalpindi—from April 11 to May 18. The tournament kicks off with defending champions Islamabad United facing Lahore Qalandars at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
