Islamabad, March 12, 2025 – Pakistan’s Information Minister Attaullah Tarar on Wednesday accused Indian media of spreading propaganda surrounding the recent Jaffar Express attack in Balochistan, where security forces successfully neutralized 33 terrorists and rescued 440 passengers. Expressing gratitude to Allah for the operation’s success, Tarar praised the bravery of the Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps, Special Services Group (SSG), and Air Force in saving innocent lives. The minister revealed that 21 people, including four soldiers, lost their lives before the operation, but the swift response by security forces prevented further casualties. He slammed Indian media for distorting facts and pushing a false narrative, alleging it was part of a coordinated effort to undermine Pakistan’s efforts against terrorism.
Tarar reiterated the government’s unwavering commitment to eradicating terrorism, stating that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had lauded the security forces’ capabilities. Sharif is set to visit Balochistan on Thursday to address the aftermath of the incident. The minister emphasized that Pakistan’s armed forces and agencies remain vigilant, determined to ensure such attacks are not repeated.
